Young Innovators Festival - FAQs

1.  Are there any registration fees for YIF?

No. registration is absolutely free, however you will have to bear the cost of travel and stay (if required) on your own.

2.  Is there any participation certificate for this event?

Yes. All projects that get shortlisted for YIF will get Participation Certificates. The top projects will get Certificates of Excellence.

3.  What are the major benefits?

You will be presenting your papers or posters to industry experts who will provide their inputs and feedback to further improve your project. The top projects get an entry to MeltingPot2020 where you will get the chance to showcase your project or poster to top CEOs, innovators, investors and researchers. This will also open avenues for funding, better infrastructure and investment for commercialization. Top projects will also be eligible for innovation and entrepreneurship mentorship by experts.

4.  What if my project is not completed / do we have to present working model?

Please submit an abstract of your project to start with. This will be needed for the jury to assess your project. If you are ready to make a presentation on the project, then you can indicate the same on the registration form. Else you can present a poster.

5.  Can we also be part of the event if we our idea doesn’t get selected?

Due to time and space constraint we will have to select only the top projects for YIF. However even if you are not selected for YIF we have other opportunities that will help take your idea to a larger audience. We will communicate the same to your registered id.
Yes you can attend the event as an attendee too if your idea doesn’t get selected. Registration for attendees will be open till 20th Nov.

6.  Can we also be part of the event if we do not have any project ready?

Yes you can be attendee for the event. Kindly register as an attendee on the younginnovator website.

7.  Can we submit more than one idea?

Each team can submit only one idea. However you can be part of more than one team.

8.  If we get selected and get an entry for MeltingPot2020, will our stay be sponsored?

All the participating and winning teams will have to bear expenses regarding travel, stay and meals on their own. If you get shortlisted for YIF, we will provide you with affordable options for stay and food in and around the venue. Please plan your travel and stay in advance as there might be availability issues due to the marriage season in New Delhi around that time.

9.  What is the duration of event?

It is a full day event starting from 9:00 am on 24th Nov’16 at Manav Rachna International University Faridabad. For more information kindly visit the agenda section in the website.
